You know those jump scares, when the music stops, protagonist opens a closet, nothing's there, then she closes the door and the scary ghost is there and a super-volumed shrill plays. I find them so predictable that they don't really scare me, but I remember scenes from The Shining that scared the hell out of me without a jump scare. What movies do you recommend (in English or foreign with subtitles) that are like that?
