An example for my favourtie kind would be Hans Gruber from Die Hard - someone with no personal vendetta towards the protagonist but only crosses paths with him because of their difference in ideologies or of coures their line of work. That's why Heat is one of my favourite movies. Another example would be Ledger's Joker.
