Hi everyone !
I just finished watching "The perks of being a wallflower".
Here is the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5rh7O4IDc0
To those of you who don't know this movie, it's about a very shy, a bit creepy and unpopular guy who gets picked on (Charlie) until two very popular students befriend him.
Lots of people loved this movie and Charlie's character and I wondered: Why do these people love him while they wouldn't hesitate to make fun of a "real Charlie"? A real Charlie would be bullied/have no friends at school/university !
This is not the first time I notice this. People love weird, nerdy, "different" characters who get bullied but, in real life, They hate this kind of people ! Why ? Why this inconsistency ?
