I am Daniel Pemberton, and I wrote the music for films like “Steve Jobs”, “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.”, “The Counselor”, “Gold” and now “King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword”. I’ve worked with people like Ridley Scott, Danny Boyle, Gareth Edwards, and Guy Ritchie, done the odd video game like “LittleBIGPlanet” and “The Movies” and a zillion British TV shows. Despite all these accomplishments though the only way I seem to be able to impress people at parties is tell them I made the ‘pip pop plop’ sound you hear on the cult UK comedy “Peep Show” and then do it with my mouth. Although I did co-write a song with Iggy Pop last year and people seem to be quite impressed by that.

Other random things about me – I started as a videogame journalist when I was very very young writing the cheats column for a great UK magazine called GAME ZONE and went on to write about this new thing called the internet for people like i-D, Esquire and Wired in the mid 90’s. I was one of the original backers of Jerry Springer: The Opera which is the most complained about show ever on the BBC. I used to help run a fanzine called Shoreditch Twat. My face is on a range of best selling pyjamas. The opening sound in King Arthur was recorded on my iphone in someone’s toilet. I still live and work in an incredibly untidy flat.
