[Spoiler-Free] Train to Busan is an excellent non-American zombie flick specifically because of the lack of guns

Just watched the Korean zombie flick Train to Busan. Highly recommend for fans of the genre. It combines the desperation feelings of 28 Days Later with the crazed mobs of World War Z.

I was struck by the lack of any firearms in the movie (*technically there's one at the end), and it stood out to me so because most every zombie movie I can think of it's all about mowing zombies down with firepower, shooting them in the head, etc. But it made me reflect on America's love of guns, and how in other countries, when the outbreak hits, you can't just grab your shotgun and give your child a pistol.

Very well done movie from start to finish, excellent character development, and despite subtitles, I was moved by the sounds and music in the movie - the background music swelling and cutting out when the main character touches his daughters hand, as a wonderful example.
