This is more rare than many of us realize. Most famous actresses are either the primary character in smaller films, leads in a rom-coms, or play second banana to the main actor. Jennifer Lawrence has Red Sparrow and Mother! coming out. Previously she was in Joy, The Hunger Games, House at the End of Street, and Winter's Bone. I haven't seen Passengers so I can't comment who truly is the main character.
Who are some other women that have been able to achieve this frequently?
edit: clarified that I'm looking for actresses that have done this consistently, not just 2 or 3 movies over 10-15yrs.
