With the upcoming movie from Pixar, Coco; I just want to say as a Mexican that it totally represents our culture, and it's an awesome movie.

Pixar's Coco has been out here in Mexico for about two weeks, and everyone I know has seen it by now. It's been a huge hit.

Why?? Not only it is an awesome Pixar movie (all the characters and animations are as always, excellent), but it has also represented our culture so well, that many people ended up crying. Not spoiling it, but it is so awesome that it truly, literally, makes you laugh and cry at the same time.

I just want to say that most of us Mexicans thought it was awesome, and even if many of us living in big cities have lost many of the traditional stuff shown in the movie, we feel so proud of our culture and it's so refreshing to see a movie re-unite us together with our families.

By the way, the movie was shown here short before our "Día de muertos", so most things shown in the movie were going on in our own homes.

So I have high hopes that you will like it, and through it understand a little better how awesome our culture is.

And please, please, don't any of you start any "cultural appropriation" or 'racial denigration" stuff... We Mexicans loved the movie, so please don't spoil it.

Edit: Lol, it somehow became a woman-hating thing down on the comments. Just don't let it change your opinion on the movie, that even such a terrible person like me liked it. Now, I'm off to r/eyebleach.
