IMO the documentary 'Jim and Andy' which explores how Jim Carrey never left character, and completely lost himself while playing Andy Kaufman, is a Kaufman-esque ruse.

Beyond the fact they really didn't have that much footage of Jim on set "being andy" (and terrorizing his co-workers) the moment he began to chastise Jerry Lawler really made me feel this way.

He is LITERALLY doing the exact bit, even going as far to throw the same insults at Lawler Andy did decades ago, and we're expected to believe this is not scripted. That Jerry Lawler, is somehow offended by Jim's actions, and even though Kaufman and he staged a seemingly identical feud that resulted in wrestling matches years ago, he is taking Jim seriously and threatens him with physical violence.

This violence was of course off camera, and again, is just typical wrestling nonsense.

For those who've seen the film, what do you think? What do you think the chances are it was an act?
