While watching it for the 35th time I just realized that Sgt. Angel is a Christ allegory with him being betrayed by someone he trusted Frank Butterman and then “dying” and coming back to life and gathering his followers, the other officers. Also in addition to his obvious holy last name his officer number is 777 a holy number and the only person who refers to him that way is Simon Skinner who is the shadiest and most devilish character so the devil recognizes Christ’s holiness so they have a fist fight in a model village and the devil has a spike go through his mouth that’s how it goes right?
