In your opinion, name a few musicians/singers turned actors that could actually act and gave great performances. Also those who you think really blew it.
Justin Timberlake is a really capable actor (Alpha Dog, The Social Network), Macy Gray, Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Hudson. Bjork really gave a good one in Dancer In The Dark. Eminem was surprisingly great in The 8 Mile. Cher’s performance in Moonstruck was super memorable (and got her an Oscar!)
Aaliyah was really a promising singer turned actor that sadly passed too soon. She was such a natural actress!
I have nothing against her but Beyonce had multiple attempts (Obsessed, Cadillac Records, Dreamgirls) but unfortunately could not manage to deliver imo. Madonna in Swept Away was just indescribable.
