For example - we got those "Take a fictional/historical figure (Robin Hood, Hercules, King Arthur)" and make it a grey, rainy, gritty army/war film movies.
Then we got the whole "Super Meta Pop Culture Reference" style movie that Scott Pilgrim made popular - where characters see/reference tons of anime and video games during the film and even "Sees" logos and icons in the real world.
The "Over-saturated CGI "Historial" fantasy war movie" - Such as the Great Wall, or Abe Lincoln Vampire hunter where most the fights and war scenes are just a huge jumbled mess of CGI monsters/characters fighting each other...just to name a few.
Not saying I don't like this films, but when one does a style successfully, mimics pop up all over the place and try to (poorly) replicate the successful movie's style. Which ones are you personally over?
