The first 15 minutes are totally focused on Tina, played by Amanda Wyss. So much so that I genuinely thought she was the lead until she gets killed off and then it becomes about Heather Langenkamp's Nancy, who's very discreet that you don't pay much interest until the twist.
I love the creepy music, I love that Freddy has so much personality without being too much like in the horrible sequels. Robert Englund is amazing.
Aside from the stupid ending and Ronee Blakley being a mess as the drunk mom, this movie is a must. It's a league above the other 80s slashers.
