I love all of Wes Anderson’s films. So, when Moonrise Kingdom came out in 2012, I was super excited. I figured it would be a can’t miss. I ended up absolutely HATING it. Besides the cinematography, I don’t remember liking one single thing about it! Luckily, he came back in 2014 with The Grand Budapest Hotel, which I have since rewatched several times, and may be my favorite film of his besides Bottle Rocket. Maybe I’ll give it a rewatch one day, but for me, Moonrise Kingdom was a huge disappointment.
