Creating a crosstab is easy in Tableau. You can click the Show Me or right-click any worksheet tab and select Duplicate as Crosstab. Another technique to build the view you want is by selecting fields and dragging them to the Columns and Row shelves.
- Double-click the primary dimension; that is, the dimension that holds the most interest. Tableau automatically adds it to the Rows shelf.
- Double-click another dimension. Tableau automatically recognizes relationships between fields and chooses the best place - either nested on the rows or added to the columns. Repeat as needed.
- Double-click measures. Tableau adds all the measures to Text as you double-click them. Repeat as needed.
