Just watching some select scenes from Return of the King tonight, and I have to wonder: has there been anything else like it since? Will there ever be? Having seen the behind the scenes features, it was such a labor of love for amazing source material that I can hardly imagine seeing something like it ever again, which both saddens me and reinforces how special this trilogy was in the first place.
EDIT: I am not asking if LotR will be remade or rebooted, but rather if well ever see it's like as far as epicness and excellence in filmmaking across multiple movies.
