I just rewatched Accepted (2006) for the first time in probably a decade, and it absolutely holds up to the fondness I’ve always had for it. For one, Jonah Hill completely steals the show here; it’s no surprise his career took off shortly after this movie. Secondly, while I can see how the campy tone of the film may have drawn criticism, I also feel there is some apt criticism aimed toward post-secondary education and Greek life. I would love to know how others feel about this movie and whether or not you think it was ahead of its time.
