The Korean film 'Friend' really moved me in multiple ways. I need to talk about it with someone.

I consider myself a big fan of Korean cinema, which is odd considering I have only just now seen this movie and its one of the highest grossing releases in Korea. I wont go through the many ways that this movie got to me, but I did want to discuss with someone the semi-ending where Lee Han Dang-su was assasinated as he was exiting his night club and presumably going to the airport to take up his friend/rivals (Lee Jeong-suk) plea to leave the country. It seems like they were SO close to mending the misunderstandings that had driven them apart, but they missed it by just moments.

The part where Dang-su was getting stabbed like 30 times with the sashimi knife, and then said something along the lines of - "You have done your job. . . Go now..." to his attacker. Essentially saying - "You got me, Im dead. You can stop stabbing me and leave now." was some shit I was thinking about like days after the movie. Anyways, enough rant. Did anyone else see this movie? What were your thoughts?
