Spoilers, I guess, for any movie that may be mentioned here that you may be planning on seeing.
I can’t really explain why, but a type of movie I really like is when you have a group of characters (traditionally heroes of some kind), and by then end of the movie (usually in during the final act) they all, or at least the majority of them die.
Not because I enjoy watching people die, but more in the sense that it’s done as a hero sacrifice, or they’re in a massive fight that they don’t make it out of.
Example of movies where this happens: Seven Samurai & The Magnificent Seven (obviously), as well as Sunshine, Rogue One, The Grey, and Army of the Dead. However, I imagine that there’s probably a lot more, so if you have any recommendations of other movies like this, that’d be appreciated.
