I was just in a thread in this sub discussing great movies that go from 0-100 at the very end.
Someone suggested Arrival, which I had just rewatched for the dozenth time, and it made me think of the fact that we collectively do not give Jeremy Renner the respect he deserves.
I feel like he rarely gets talked about and when he is it's attached to Hawkeye and the 'ordinariness' of the character vs his workmates. It seems like this gets conflated with the actor.
Dahmer. Unreal. Made me feel bad for that sick bastard. Holding his own in MCU. The Hurt Locker- devastating. Perfectly supporting Tom Cruise in the MI franchise. Tag? Hilarious. American Hustle? Heartbreaking. I absolutely loved every second of the show Hawkeye. Top three tv show in the MCU.
I said what I said.
Then, in real life he throws himself in front of a snowcat to save a relative. Breaks pretty much every bone in his body. Handles the recovery with inhuman grace.
I feel like I'm starting to sound nuts. But it just occurred to me the other day and I'm starting to feel pretty strongly about this.
Am I having a stroke?
