Been binging Lord Ravenscraft who breaks down the chess scene from Sherlock Holmes, the liars dice scene in Pirates, etc. Scenes where two or more characters play some sort of game, but their moves represent some sort of grand strategy beyond the game. Or it acts as some form of characterisation. Or it completely misses the mark and two characters say cryptic things and hope the audience makes a connection.
Are there any more examples of this trope? I feel like I've seen it before but I honestly can't think of where.
