I just watched The Big Lebowski for the first time and I’m genuinely amazed at how good is, I don’t even fully understand why cause the plot revolves around a rug getting pissed on. Yet it works, because the Dude is this completely laid-back, IDGAF character just drifting through chaos while still somehow being justified.
The dialogue is sharp, Walter is easily the funniest part, and the story just keeps jumping from place to place without slowing down. Scenes end before you can process them, things barely get explained, and it all feels like one long, random montage.
It’s easily one of the funniest movies I’ve seen, but the entire time I kept thinking, “what am I even watching?”
