So after watching the latest Infinity War special featurette, it made me incredibly excited for the film. But on the flipside I am not that excited what comes after. Infinity War seems like a perfect wrap up for the franchise, it's what the entire franchise has been building towards. A good story has a beginning, middle and end. The end is what makes the whole journey complete, it's what makes Return of the King and Deathly Hallows have such an emotional pay off. It's what makes any great long running TV show have a lasting impact. The longer they go on, the more diluted the entire story becomes.
It's something I fear for Star Wars as well. Disney wants to make star wars movies till the end of time. And yes Star Wars is already a diluted franchise because of the EU. But cinematically, it's still fresh enough.
Anybody else feel the same way? And I know it's all about making money, but still, from a creative point of view and as a fan of cinema, it's not something I am looking forward to.
