First of all, it is an absolute mystery to me how I never heard about a movie with Mark Hamil, Kyle Mooney, Greg Kinnear, and Andy Samberg. It is even more of a mystery when I watched the movie and realized how incredible it is. It completely subverts expectations and seems to revel in that fact. It would be best to go in blind, so don’t read anything about it.
Just know that not only is it actually really funny, but it is also unbelievably heartfelt, sincere, and genuine. Everyone has a magnificent performance and it just felt so realistic. There’s so few movies that handle such complex feelings and topics with this level of sincerity and warmth. I loved everyone in this movie and everything about it and it made me cry many times. Please go watch it.
