Billy Madison came out in 1995, btw.
Just curious what the film is. I think he said it wasn’t a film he’d normally do. And he was offered 2 million to do it while sitting in his trailer during the filming of Billy Madison. And his dad, who was also in the trailer, told him to do it because actors make bad movies all the time and the money was good. But he turned it down.
Any guesses? For some reason I was thinking it might have been The Cable Guy but that was always supposed to be Jim Carrey, right? Plus, the timing doesn't make sense...
So, what could it have been...something like Batman & Robin? lol. Trying to get another comedian into the mix after Jim Carrey's Riddler performance? These are bad guesses, I know. What was a possibly bad comedy (or was he offered a drama) that came out after Billy Madison that Sandler might have turned down?
Also, has Sandler ever spoken about this previously?
EDIT: Here's the Seth Meyers clip where he talks about this (jump ahead to 1:20):
