What are some great loner films? I don't mean movies where the character is sulking about being lonely, but those that thrive at being alone. I really love movies like this where the characters have a bigger purpose in life.
My favourite movies are:
1) Drive - the main character (MC) needs to make sure the neighbours are safe, at any cost.
2) Moon - the MC needs to bring a corporate down while he is stuck in space.
3) The Hunter - the MC needs to find a supposedly extinct animal to save/demolish humanity.
4) Ad Astra - the MC has to search for his father at the edge of the solar system.
5) Ex Machina - the MC wants to build an AI that is smarter than humans.
In all these movies, the characters thrive on being alone.
