The Hit is a 1984 Crime/Drama starring John Hurt, Terence Stamp, Tim Roth, and Laura del Sol
I originally watched it cause it has one of my favorite actors (John Hurt)
I found the film to be pretty great overall the story was well realized and the performances were great all around John Hurt easily the highlight
unlike characters like Tommy DeVito or Carl Showalter Hurts Braddock isn’t constantly angry or swearing instead he’s very calm, controlled, and a man of few words leading to some great physical acting by Hurt
Anyways the plot of the film is two Hitmen catch a man who ratted out his old mob buddies and drive him to Paris for his execution it’s relatively simple but still effective
As the film goes along the tension build between are three characters eventually four culminating in a tense finale
Anyway overall pretty great film 9/10 I’d say it’s up there with Fargo but not quite as good as Goodfellas
