I lost my mother to suicide a few months ago, long before her natural time would have come. It involved substance abuse and mental illness. Yesterday, I saw a quote from (I think) Wakanda Forever WandaVision about how grief is just true love persevering and it struck me that I haven’t been seeking out media to help me cope.
I would love suggestions of movies (or even TV) that artfully and effectively say something about grief - they could be gentle and supportive or more heavy and in-your-face about it. Specifically tackling suicide would be a bonus. I am not religious, and I am cool with non-English films. Thanks in advance for suggestions!
Edit: I expected only a handful of responses, but have gotten dozens already! So here's a list to save scrolling for future folk. :)
