I’m looking for movies with a “they came up with a title and then made a movie around it” vibe.

I’ll start with two examples to get the ball rolling:

  1. Gnomeo and Juliet: Romeo and Juliet… but with garden gnomes!

  2. The Santa Clause: A guy has to become Santa because of a literal legal “clause” after the real Santa’s death

Here’s the rule though- they must be high concept and original movies. You can’t just say someone came up with the title ‘Spider-Man’ and they decided to make a Spider-Man film.

The film should have an aura of “they came up with a title first”
