Rewatching The Departed (2006), and while Costello is clearly an absolute psychopath, the scene where he talks to the pastors calling out their pedophilia reminds the audience "dudes a horrible person but hes not a child predator." Not that it absolves him at all, hes a monstrous character played perfectly by Nicholson but I enjoy when a despicable character calls out something more evil than they would participate in.
