PostgreSQL and remaining connections in Tableau 8.1
With the 64-bit Tableau, PostgreSQL connections can use either the 32-bit or 64-bit PostgreSQL drivers. If you have both the 32-bit and 64-bit drivers installed on the computer, PostgreSQL will use the 32-bit version. If you prefer that the PostgreSQL connection use the 64-bit driver, uninstall the 32-bit driver.
For the remaining connections, including supporting Google BigQuery connections on Tableau Server, continue to use the 32-bit database drivers with the 64-bit version of Tableau. For the 32-bit version of Tableau, continue to use the 32-bit database driver versions as well.
