When attempting to publish a workbook to Tableau Server, you may see an “Internet communication error: A redirect request will change a non-secure to a secure connection” error message. This message displays because Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) may have been recently implemented on the server machine you are trying to publish a workbook to. SSL helps secure access to the application and the information passed between Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop.
To resolve this issue, modify the Internet Properties settings on your machine to disable the warning dialog box when switching between non-secure and secure connections.

Click the Start button, and then select Control Panel > Internet Options.Step 2
