I consider Heat to have the greatest shootout of all time on screen. The sound is half of it, when you can hear all of the automatic weapons echoing off the city buildings. What other movies have long shootouts like Heat with gritty realism. No, I don't think movies like John Wick etc. count, because they're more about stylized violence. I'm looking for grittier more realistic stuff with long shootout sequences like Heat.
