I went into this film fully expecting it to be this dark and gritty revenge thriller but that's not the case at all. This movie is a very quiet meditation on grief and loneliness while also being a film about facing your past. It told its story, not with violence as I expected it to, but rather with kindness. Nicolas Cage gives one of his best performances in years as a lonely man who goes on a journey of rediscovering himself after his beloved truffle pig is stolen and it might be my favorite performance of his period.
